We want you to love your pool forever, not just during
that euphoric "honeymoon" stage of the first swim season.
To that end, we put together the lowest maintenance
pool packages, for both the short term and long term.
Whether you have a PebbleTec finish, Quartz finish,
gelcoat or solid surface, we want the pool experience
to be easy and fun.
By offering to build both fiberglass pools and concrete
(gunite) pools, you'll be able to choose the lowest
maintenance pool for you and be starting out a step
ahead of all your friends with a traditional, concrete
pool. You not only eliminate the impending doom of a
resurface job by choosing one of our life-time surfaces,
you hardly have to do any daily maintenance. Maybe about
15-30 minutes a week, but it's definitely not hard labor.
More than likely, you'll goof around acting like you're
cleaning the pool...in a convenient way to get out of
doing other laborious household chores. (Believe me,
I've been there!)
With our fiberglass surfaces, you don't even need the
brush really, but brush if you must. We provide you
with one because they look good hanging on the wall.
All you really need the brush for is to loosen any debris
that may be clinging to the sides, but that's nothing
a bunch of kids in the pool can't do. So if you don't
have kids, a brush is a more of a must. Unless of course
you're a pretty vigorous swimmer. We also recommend
cartridge filters. We can put on any filter you'd like,
but we like the cartridge because it the easiest to
maintain. No need to backwash or continually add DE
or sand. It does a fine job and it doesn't create another
annoying monthly chore you. Don't we all have enough
of those anyway?
Your pool will come with an in-line chlorinator. This
is a very simple solution for a simple job. Most pools
require very little chlorine. We also offer chlorine
generators, known commonly as salt systems. Most of
our concrete pool projects utilize salt chlorinators.
There are some really cool ones out there that are all
automatic and timed and do everything for you (not the
dishes). They are pricey but they are nice. Do you need
a fancy system like this? No, but do we really need
power windows, power locks, power sunroofs and cd players
in our cars? Well, if you put it that way....
Your pool will also come with an automatic timer.
This will turn on and off your pump at set times. A
must have. Your pool will also come with some sort of
decking, made usually of pavers or concrete. The concrete
can by acrylic-coated and painted for a beautiful finish.
Both the pavers and the concrete can be brushed with
a clear coat to provide for even easier maintenance
and a nice shine. It's up to you. We’ve also done some
more exotic things like stamped concrete and flagstone
decks. These are some of the characteristics of a Mermaid
