and Maria are a pleasant and knowledgeable couple to
deal with. They always had solutions for any issues
we encountered as well as solid advice for maintaining
our Mermaid Pool. Our pool is easy to maintain. We would
recommend Mermaid Pools to family and friends. Mark
and Maria are a committed husband and wife team who
give personalized care and customer service. When we
were making the final decision as to who should build
our pool, we preferred dealing with the Slabys who had
a stake in their company. Dealing with the pool reps
from other companies was tedious; many came with the
attitude that this was just a “job” to them. The evening
we met with Mark, it seemed he was excited as we were
to create our pool area. Mark and Maria never lost their
enthusiasm for doing our job.

takes longer to put away the hose than to clean and
maintain our pool. We would recommend Mermaid Pools

clean, they have seats in them so you can relax and
the finish is kind to your clothing...no snags. You

I
have practiced Emergency Medicine for 30 years, and
I am familiar with the morbidity and death toll that
swimming pools with main drains have produced. The idea
of back up drains, protective covers, valves and vents
to prevent injury have merit, but they share the common
trait that one can theorize failure for any of them,
or another way of saying this is that under some circumstances
the failure of the back up system may result in injury
to a swimmer. It is my opinion that the only foolproof
way to avoid entrapment hazards in a swimming pool is
by using an air-water interface device like a skimmer...I
think that you have done an outstanding job helping
to change the rules so that drainless swimming pools
could be constructed. I feel that your actions are helping
to prevent the injuries and even deaths of unaware swimmers,
specially children and elderly persons that unfortunately
constitute the majority of the injured in these cases.
